3 nights of Murder, Mystery... and Madonna

Live music, dancing, drama, psychological research and murder: This is no ordinary discotheque.

Tuesday 20th, Wednesday 21st, and Thursday 22nd February, from 7 - 10pm.

Hey party people! Join us for a trip back to the 1980s, and help us solve a murder. This immersive science-theatre event combines the best creative and research talent Goldsmiths has to offer - with a healthy dose of 80s nostalgia!

We invite you to dust off your neon socks, back-comb your mullet, mobilise your moonwalk and get to the bottom of this Whodunnit. Throughout the event, let the live music, drama, and dancing - devised, choreographed and performed by Goldsmiths students - immerse you in the sounds and 'style' of the 1980s.

The event also includes important psychological research, on which the Forensic Psychology Unit will feed back results both throughout the night, and to all attendees after the event. It promises to be an entertaining and informative night, blending the arts and science.

Dress code – 80s dress is encouraged, but not compulsory - we have a dressing up box! Prizes will be given for the most authentic dress and best (or most enthusiastic!) throwbacks to the 80s. But don't worry, you don’t have to dance and if your Hammertime is a bit rusty, you can brush up with our choreographers during the intermission.

Focus on solving the crime or just enjoy the music. Be a dancer or a detective. Or a dancing detective!

Drinks will be available throughout the evening.

Brought to you by Goldsmiths' award winning* Forensic Psychology Unit in collaboration with Creative Vortex.

*The death of Jane Doe: The Psychology of a murder investigation - Winner of the CorpComms Magazine award for best communications by a public sector organisation (2016).
