Michael Olatokun, Research Fellow in Citizenship and the Rule of Law, and Head of Public and Youth Engagement, at the Bingham Centre for the Rule of Law.

Griff Ferris, legal and policy officer at Fair Trials.
Michael Olatokun is a researcher and project manager focused on exploring the connection between rights, citizenship and education. He leads the Bingham Centre's strategic area of focus on Citizenship and the Rule of Law and is the Head of Public and Youth Engagement. He is the lead instructor of 'Citizenship and the Rule of Law', an online undergraduate law course run by BIICL in collaboration with the University of London. He is also the Coordinator of 'The Rule of Law for Citizenship Education', a nationwide programme in which young people are taught about the rule of law and human rights. As a result of the success of this work, Michael was asked to join the Solicitor General's Public Legal Education Committee in 2017. He is one of the UK's leading experts on the topic and was a co-author of the minister's vision statement in 2018.
Griff Ferris is a Legal and Policy Officer in the London office of Fair Trials. Before joining Fair Trials, he investigated and challenged infringements of human rights and oppressive and discriminatory use of technology and data by the state, police and private companies at Big Brother Watch. Previously, he worked as a paralegal, took on cases for the Free Representation Unit, and gave advice and assistance to local communities at Lambeth Law Centre and Toynbee Hall. Griff has an LLM from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
