A participatory in-person seminar on ethnography, theory, and queer companionship with Omar Kasmani

Goldsmiths Anthropology invites you to an in-person seminar with Dr Omar Kasmani on ethnography, theory, and queer companionship. Working with Kasmani’s recent book, 'Queer Companions: Religion, Public Intimacy, and Saintly Affects in Pakistan,' the seminar is an open forum to discuss queer world-making, religion, and ethnographic practice. Staff and students at all levels of study are welcome to attend, and all research/personal interests and disciplinary backgrounds welcome.

Attendance is free but booking is required through Eventbrite. Please let us know if you can no longer attend as we have only 25 places available.

In preparation for the seminar, please read the introduction to Queer Companions (available here: https://www.dukeupress.edu/Assets/PubMaterials/978-1-4780-1803-2_601.pdf and on the Duke University Press website: https://www.dukeupress.edu/queer-companions).
