Priced-out of Moss Side by Stag Dos and Ravers: Short-term lets in inner city Manchester, a lecture by Isaac Rose.

This talk will consider the role of tourism in Manchester's development model, with a particular focus on the growth of short-term, holiday lettings in the inner city and the consequent gentrification pressures this is producing.

Isaac Rose works as an organiser for the Greater Manchester Tenants Union and is a writer. His first book, 'The Rentier City. The Making of Modern Manchester', is out with Repeater books next year.

This lecture is part of the Visual Cultures Autumn Series, The Last Resort. On Terminal Tourism,
convened by Yaiza Hernandez Velazquez.
