Author Catherine Coldstream discusses her memoir Cloistered

Dr CATHERINE COLDSTREAM is a writer, editor, and former contemplative nun. Author of Cloistered: My Years as a Nun (Chatto & Windus, 2024), an account of the twelve years she spent in a silent monastic community, she gained her doctorate in Creative Writing from Goldsmiths last year. She is currently editing William Coldstream Remembered: Portraits of a Painter – an anthology of essays about her father – due out with Sansom & Co this year. An associate editor of MONK arts magazine, she has taught music peripatetically, theology and philosophy in schools, and is in demand both as interviewer and speaker. Her agent is Patrick Walsh.
