In the third talk of this year's series, please join Richard Warp, CTO & Artistic Director at Pollen Audio, Artistic & Technical Director of the Brainstorms exhibition at Frameless in 2024 and alumnus of Goldsmiths University.
Richard will talk about the experience of directing the Brainstorms exhibition - a major multi-gallery music and art experience featuring live EEG brain data capture to the music of Pink Floyd and visualization at Frameless London - the largest multi-gallery immersive venue in the UK. This will include a live demo.
Richard will also talk about his own journey, some key trends in this area of tech and advice for students on how to stand out.

Bio:
Richard is an Emmy-winning composer, audio technologist and a researcher in the field of auditory affective sciences. He is also a developer of Brain Computer Music Interface (BCMI) applications for performance, entertainment and wellness.
As CTO & Creative Director at Pollen Music Group, he oversees development of cutting-edge immersive audio experience prototypes and leads innovation in new technology applications. He is a recipient of the 2021 XR Research Awards (XRRA) for his work in biometrics and spatial audio, which has been presented at various conferences around the world.
With a Masters’ in Music Composition from Goldsmiths College, University of London, Richard has also been a composer, sound designer and audio director for numerous high-profile VR/AR projects in collaboration with world-renowned visual artists including Jeff Koons, Olafur Eliasson and Marina Abramovic.
Most recently he was the Artistic and Technical Director of Brainstorms, a major multi-gallery music and art experience featuring live EEG brain data capture and visualization at Frameless London, the largest multi-gallery immersive venue in the UK. This project featured collaborations with Gala Wright, the celebrated designer and daughter of Pink Floyd keyboardist Rick Wright, as well as with groundbreaking music and technology artist Imogen Heap. He is a published author on new interfaces for musical expression, and works closely with the neuroscience communities in London and the San Francisco Bay Area.
