Event overview
Join us at midday this week for releases of works created by students working in the Department of Music. Today's release is Disappearing by Cosette Gobat, artist telepath blue
Previously known under their own name, Cosette Gobat, telepath blue is a new project to explore the possibilities when the genres of electronica, pop, neo-classical, and ambient are experimented with, blending the musical differences into a unique, incomparable sound. After over a decade of writing, performing and producing music the young composer ventures into a different realm, changing their creative approach through electronic production, improvisation, and artistic aesthetics.
The debut EP, Disappearing, begins with The Siren, a beautiful soundscape and sonically pleasing aural experience, venturing into a breath-like continuum and a beautiful guitar solo in the track, Trespassing. The final piece, Disappearing, wraps the EP in drowned reverb-ed guitars, flooding the ambient air into waves of floating bliss.
This first EP of telepath blue sets the tone for future releases, whatever may follow, we know it will be some form of experimentation in musical exploration.
