System virtuosity and wayfaring in electroinstrumental performance

In this lecture-recital Tom will discuss and perform recent work-in-progress in which he is developing a performer-centred approach to interactive electroinstrumental improvisation with classical guitar.

He will discuss ways to embed live electronics into classical guitar technique, honouring the established physicality of the instrument’s performance practice, and how this has provoked a shift in attention and encouraged more freedom in performance.

Free event - all welcome.

This lecture/recital dovetails with MOKITAL (Mike Eden) Haiku Organ in St James Hatcham Church
