Short Bios of guest artists:
Cao Yuxi, a leading new media artist based in Shanghai, collaborated with director Zhang Yimou on the Beijing Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony. His works explore the fusion of art, design, and technology, focusing on perception, data visualisation, and AI. He has exhibited at the Venice Biennale, New Museum (New York), & London Design Festival.
Fabio Lattanzi Antinori, an Italian artist based in London, explores data visualisation and interactive media to critique economic systems and technological influence. His work has appeared at the V&A Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art Bucharest, Frieze Sculpture, SeMA – Seoul Museum of Art and MoCA Shanghai.
David Cotterrell is an installation artist whose multimedia work examines the fractured sociopolitical dynamics of an interconnected world. His art focuses on transitional, ephemeral encounters that reveal emotional and psychological truths. He has exhibited widely and is Professor of Fine Art at Sheffield Hallam University.
Andy Lomas is a computational artist, mathematician and Emmy award-winning supervisor of computer generated effects. His art work explores how complex sculptural forms can be created emergently by simulating growth processes. His work exists at the boundary between art and science.
Jessie (Yue) Zheng's practice-based research explores the intersections of trauma, health humanities, existential psychology, and performance. Born in China and residing in the UK since 2005, her multidisciplinary practice encompasses various mediums, such as moving image, performance art, installation, and mixed media.
