Chloe Young and Christabel Yeboah from the Student Success team with the Institution of the Year Award 2025
Aimhigher London is a network of educational partners (schools, colleges, universities, and Virtual schools) which works collaboratively to support young people to make informed choices and achieve successful outcomes. The Higher Education Institution of the Year Award recognises significant and sustained commitment and contributions to the work of Aimhigher London.
The award was presented at a ceremony at the University of Roehampton and recognises the outstanding contributions of the Student Success team at Goldsmiths over the past academic year.
The team were commended for their consistent, meaningful support across a wide range of outreach and engagement activities. Student Success colleagues are actively involved in Aimhigher London working groups including the Disability Working Group and the Looked After Children Working Group, which shares learning on how to improve access to higher education for students with experience of being in care or of being an unaccompanied asylum seeker. They have also facilitated campus visits as part of Aimhigher’s Finding Futures Programme, with around 90 local young people attending across multiple school visits, and participated in and presented at sector conferences, with Goldsmiths hosting this year’s Removing Barriers, Forging Paths conference exploring intersectional approaches to support students with a disability.
